Gibbs Hill Lighthouse Resumed Operation
The Gibbs Hill Lighthouse — which first started flashing its beam to seafarers back in 1846 — has resumed operation.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department confirmed that Gibbs Hill Lighthouse is operating, and service resumed on Thursday, July 6. The lightbulb was replaced by Marine and Ports staff, and a total cost for repairs is forthcoming.”
With “total cost for repairs is forthcoming”, the question is “how many Marine and Ports staff does it take to change a lightbulb?”
