Conor White Wins Bronze Medal At CAC Games

Conor White capped off a superb day for Bermuda in the cycling time-trial after winning bronze in the men’s event at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, El Salvador, today [July 5].

White, who went off as the final rider, forced his way onto the podium after setting a time of 49min 55.11sec.

Miguel Angel Moreno Lopez, of Colombia, won the event in 49:07.94, with his compatriot Walter Vargas coming second in 49:23.54. Bermuda’s Kaden Hopkins placed sixth in 53:05.07.

The men’s and women’s road races take place on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bermuda’s Nicholas Pilgrim came twentieth in the men’s triathlon in 1:59:07.

Bermuda runner Dage Minors is scheduled to race the 1,500 metres final tomorrow before Jah-Nhai Perinchief competes in the triple jump final on Friday.
