Collision Results In Power Outage In Devonshire
BELCO crews are on scene working to restore power following an outage in Devonshire this afternoon [August 6] that was caused by a van crashing into a pole.
BELCO tweeted, “We are aware of an outage affecting a significant number of our customers in Devonshire due to a van collision with a pole near the intersection of Tee Street and South Road.
“As this will require a new pole we anticipate this restoration to take some time, but we want to assure our customers that our crews are currently working to restore power as fast and safely as possible.
“To ensure safety while our crews work, we ask that you please exercise extreme caution when driving or riding past them. f you are affected by this outage, please ensure that you unplug all sensitive equipment.
“We thank you for your patience as we work to restore your power as quickly and safely as possible.”
