The Bermuda Coast Guard and KS Watersports joined efforts on August 23 to ferry stranded passengers and a charter boat back to shore.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “On Wednesday, August 23 at 11:42am, Bermuda Radio received a phone call from a 31 foot charter boat disabled near Eastern Blue Cut with 14 people onboard. The disabled vessel was in no immediate distress but had concerns about getting their charter ashore as they had flights booked to depart Bermuda in the afternoon.

“Bermuda Radio tasked the Bermuda Coast Guard with taxiing the 13 passengers ashore. While the Coast Guard was assisting the passengers, Bermuda Radio was able to contact watersports facility KS Watersports and request their assistance towing the disabled craft back to her berth. KS Watersports was happy to assist and towed the vessel back ashore.”
