The Ministry of Social Development and Seniors, in collaboration with the Advisory Panel on Homelessness and the Steering Committee on Homelessness, announced the launch of the ‘Community Perceptions Survey on Homelessness in Bermuda’.

“Homelessness is a pressing issue that affects our community, and this survey aims to gather valuable insights and perspectives from the public to inform our strategies and actions. This survey marks a significant step in our shared commitment to addressing homelessness and making Bermuda a better place for all,” stated Minister of Social Development and Seniors Tineé Furbert.

Minister Furbert added, “The ‘Community Perceptions Survey on Homelessness in Bermuda’ is a critical initiative in our comprehensive plan to end homelessness in Bermuda.

“We believe that understanding the perceptions of our community is essential to creating effective solutions. We invite all Bermudians to participate and make their voices heard.”

Denise Carey, Executive Officer at HOME charity, shared, “Our collaboration with the Bermuda Government underscores our shared dedication to addressing homelessness. This survey allows us to harness the power of community feedback to create impactful change. Your input is invaluable in our mission to provide hope and shelter to those in need.

A Government spokesperson said, “The survey will be open for participation from October 3 to October 31, 2023, and can be accessed online at forum.gov.bm.
