Bermudian footballer Zhani Burgess has signed a contract with Sky Bet League Two side Notts County.
The defender, who has registered with the Nottinghamshire side’s development squad, is a product of the Warwick Archers, the youth programme of First Division outfit Robin Hood.
Burgess has been refining his game at the FCV Academy, a football and education school in Leicestershire.
“Congratulations to FCV defender Zhani Burgess, who has signed a contract with English League Two highfliers Notts County,” the FCV tweeted.
“We can confirm Zhani has registered with the Notts County B team and not their first team. Everyone at FCV wishes Zhani the best of luck.”
Richard Todd, the technical director of the Warwick Football Academy, wrote on Facebook: “Hard work pays off. Keep on, keep on! Wishing you the best.”
Notts County, who won the Vanarama National League play-off final last season, are second in the League Two table.
