Driver Injured, Truck Overturns In Southampton
Police received reports that a “truck had overturned” in Southampton and the “driver was trapped inside the vehicle” and he “was extracted and taken to KEMH for treatment of his injuries which are not believed life-threatening.”
The Bermuda Police Service said, “Around 10:20 this morning, police received reports that a truck had overturned near the junction of Middle Road and Lighthouse Road, Southampton.
“Initial information suggested the male driver was trapped inside the vehicle. He was extracted and taken to KEMH for treatment of his injuries which are not believed life-threatening.
“Traffic was restricted to one lane for approximately two hours while efforts were made to have the vehicle removed. The roadway is now once again open to regular traffic flow.
“Anyone with information on this incident, is asked to call the main police number, 295-0011 or email PC Edwin Dill at edill@bps.bm.”

Charged with what? SMH!
This post does not only relate to this accident. In most of European countries, drivers are tested for drugs and alcohol use . This basically means that you cannot smoke a joint while driving. This should be common practice in Bermuda as a matter of urgency.
