Nia Christopher & Towson Conclude Season
Nia Christopher and her Towson women’s soccer teammates took an early lead against North Carolina, but they saw their historic season end with a 3 – 1 loss in the NCAA Tournament First Round.
Towson held the lead for most of the first half, but a late goal tied it going into halftime. Towson ends their season with their most wins in a single season, making their first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Jasmine Hamid scored the lone goal for Towson in the 25th minute and finished with two shots. Christopher led Towson with three shots with Phoebe Canoles adding two shots, while Riley Melendez made eight saves in the contest.
