Remembrance Day Waste Collection Advisory
The Ministry of Public Works advises that due to the upcoming Remembrance Day Holiday on Monday, 13 November, household waste collection will follow a rollover schedule.
A Government spokesperson said, “This rollover means that household waste regularly collected on Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday’s trash will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday’s garbage will be collected on Thursday, Thursday’s waste will be collected on Friday, and Friday’s waste will be collected on Saturday.
“Tin, aluminium and glass recycling [TAG] will be unaffected by Monday’s holiday, with West End recycling collected on Thursday, 16 November, and East End recyclables collected on Friday, 17 November.
“The Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on the Monday holiday.
