Hayward To Compete For Bronze Medal
Omar Hayward will face Jose Chagas De Oliveira, of Brazil, in the bronze-medal match in the boccia men’s individual BC1 division in Santiago, Chile, tomorrow [November 22].
Hayward lost 5-2 to Lance Cryderman, of Canada, in the semi-finals today.
The Bermudian has already beaten De Oliveira in the pool stage via a tie-break after fighting back from 6-1 down to 6-6.
Meanwhile, Yushae DeSilva-Andrade won her second pool A match in the women’s individual BC1 division, defeating Dayana Quiroz, of Ecuador, 5-2.
DeSilva-Andrade faces Andreza De Oliviera, of Brazil, in her third pool A contest tomorrow.
