Boccia Team Start Competing In Alabama
Bermuda’s boccia team opened individual pool play at the Birmingham 2026 World Boccia Challenger in Alabama with three defeats.
Bermuda’s Yushae DeSilva-Andrade lost her opening Pool A match 5-0 to Brazil’s Andreza de Oliveira, while Omar Hayward competed in Pool A, losing 7-1 to Cornelius Oatis of the United States.
Zeik Blakeney, who is making his international debut, competed in the BC2 Male division, losing to Mario Sayes of El Salvador.
The Bermudian athletes were scheduled to continue with their remaining pool matches.
