BNL To Celebrate Kwanzaa On December 15
The Bermuda National Library [BNL] will celebrate Kwanzaa on Friday [Dec 15] with “a vibrant cultural event,” including a film screening, community discussion, and vendors.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda National Library is set to host a vibrant cultural event to celebrate Kwanzaa on Friday, 15th December 2023. This enriching evening will feature a film screening, community discussion, and vendors night, taking place at 13 Queen Street, Hamilton.
“Join the Bermuda National Library for a Kwanzaa film screening, community discussion and vendors night at the Main Library on Queen Street, on Friday, December 15th, 2023, at 6pm.
“The focus for this event will be the first of the seven principles of Kwanzaa, Umoja – “to strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.”
“This event promises to be a fun, informative and culturally affirming celebration of our African culture, family and social values.
“This event celebrates African culture, but it is open to people from all cultures. Everyone is welcome to attend, participate and learn.”
“At this gathering, you will have the opportunity to engage with key organizations in our community which contribute to developing and strengthening family, community, and heritage among persons of African descent. You will also have the chance to connect with and support African centered vendors including:
