The BF&M Bermuda 10K Run & Walk— the second event in the 2024 Chubb Bermuda Triangle Challenge series — was held this morning [Jan 13], with American Colin Cernik and Bermudian Erica Hawley racing to victory.
Dage Minors followed up his win in the Butterfield Front Street Mile men’s running club championship last night by finishing second in 32:27. Marcel Aubrey, who came runner-up in the Butterfield Mile, rounded out the podium in 32:57. Top local runner Sean Trott achieved a fifth-place finish in 34:24.
Meanwhile, Erica Hawley — one of the Island’s top triathletes — was the first female finisher, placing an impressive ninth overall, in 37:39.
Amy Piccolo, who won the Butterfield Front Street mile last night, who came thirteenth overall, was the second female in 39:14, and local runner Gayle Lindsay, fifteenth overall, was the third quickest in 39:53.
