Video: Mia Fishel Scores In Champions League
Mia Fishel scored for Chelsea Women in their 4-0 win away to Paris FC Féminines in the Women’s Champions League yesterday [January 30].
Fishel, whose father is Bermudian, headed home in the 37th minute to make it 2-0 to the visiting side.
Chelsea had already qualified for the quarter-finals by winning group D but completed their unbeaten group stage in Europe.
They will be seeded in the quarter-final draw, which will take place on Tuesday, February 6, and will avoid holders Barcelona, Lyon, the eight-time winners, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Fishel, who made her debut for the United States women’s senior team in September last year, joined Chelsea from Mexican club Tigres for a reported $250,000 last summer.
