Brewer Helps Queens Win OUA Championship
Abigail Brewer and her Queen’s University women’s squash teammates celebrated nine OUA championships in a row as they won another OUA championship in Niagara.
With the gold medal Queens would take on the Warriors, both teams were set to compete one more time before one of them was crowned champion.
Despite a close battle, Queens came from behind to win 4-3, making it the ninth consecutive champions.
With her team down 3 – 2, Brewer playing in the number 6 spot made it 3 – 3 when she defeated Courtney Orcutt 3 – 0 in a 20-minute battle, Brewer won 13-11, 12-10, 11-8.
