Nike Boston Volleyball Festival Continues
The Nike Boston Volleyball Festival continued in Boston with Bermuda teams taking part.
The Paradise Hitters Under 14 team are now 3 & 3 overall, after going 2 & 1 on Day Two. They began the day defeating Seaway 25-9, 25-11, they would then fall 25-27, 25-18, 15-9 to Cal White, before picking up a 25-19, 25-21 victory over Western Mass Sharks.
The Paradise Hitters Under 13 team improved their record to 4 & 1 after they defeated AVA Premier 25-23, 13-25, 15-7, they then defeated New York Elite Blue 25-20, 25-12.
The Paradise Hitters Under 15’s won two of their three matches on the day, they defeated Synergy Flare 25-14, 25-18, they then defeated SOSVBC Travel Megan 25-17, 25-9, before falling to GSA Black 25-19, 25-15.
The Big Wave Riders Under 14’s, would fall in all three matches on the day, they went down 25-19, 16-25, 15-7 to Sportime, they would then fall to Mill City 25-21, 25-20, he finally they went down to CORE NJ Boys Platinum 25-20, 25-23.
Paradise Hitters Under 12’s finished the day with three wins, they defeated Meraki Girls 25-9, 25-15, they then defeated CMASS Edge Gray 25-12, 25-17, and then they defeated Western Mass Cubs 25-20, 12-25, 15-9.
Big Wave Ridere Head Coach, Andrew Soares said, “It’s been a great tournament for the Big Wave Riders U14 Boys’ team. They got off to a strong start on Friday, going 2-1, finishing 2nd in their pool and advancing to the top division.
“Saturday’s results weren’t what we wanted. The Team lost several hard-fought and tight games. There is no doubt the boys can compete at this level.
“Sunday we play in the Silver bracket which we hope to win for a top 5 result in the tournament.”
