Volleyballers Begin Competing In Boston
The Nike Boston Volleyball Festival got underway in Boston, with Bermuda teams taking part.
Paradise Hitters Under 12s finished the morning session 1 and 2. They fell 25-7, 25-6 to Smash and 25-11, 25-6 to GVC 12 Angie before defeating Mass Power 25-9, 25-12.
The Paradise Hitters Under 14 team also finished the morning session 1 and 2. They won their first match 25-14, 25-16 over AVA Premier, before falling 25-14, 25-15 to the Dig Deep 14 Stars and 14-25, 25-16, 15-11 to Cyclones Pacific.
In the afternoon, the Paradise Hitters Under 13 finished 1 and 2, defeating KVA Vipers 25-22, 25-19 before falling 25-16, 25-15 to TNT VB and 25-14, 25-22 to Boston UVC.
The Paradise Hitters Under 15s won all three of their matches, defeating EC Power Downtown 25–17, 25-17, beating NH Seacoast 26-24, 25-11, and winning against South County 15 Gold 25-18, 23-25, 15-11.
The Big Wave Riders Under 14s finished 2 and 1. They defeated CSVC 25-7, 25-13 and Fury 28-26, 25-12, before falling 25-12, 25-23 to ACAD.
Juanita Blee, Bermuda Volleyball Association NTC Chairperson, said, “Bermuda had a great day today with all teams experiencing wins and everyone playing good sound volleyball. Our kids are getting very valuable experiences and growing as self-assured volleyball players. The level of skill and their sportsmanship is making a mark here in Boston.”
