Berkeley Partners With Thomas For Staff Training
As part of its commitment to providing the best education to its students, The Berkeley Institute has partnered with Thomas College to “offer online graduate certificates and degrees to its entire staff to advance their own professional development.”
Director of Staff Development, Ms. Keisha Allen-Smith, shares, “This is a ground-breaking opportunity for The Berkeley Institute. This partnership with Thomas College will provide access to the entire Berkeley Teaching Faculty, Support Team, Facilities, and Operations Team with an opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills suited for their own careers and professional development.
“With the initial cohort of Signature Learning Programme students about to complete their second year, rapidly advancing to their third year, it is imperative that faculty continue to advance their own knowledge, skills and pedagogy, and also advancement of their own careers. Providing opportunities to our staff to advance into leadership roles is one of the promises we make to our team as well.
“We extend gratitude to Ms. Sonia Waldron and Dr. Leonard Santucci for initiating this partnership with Thomas College so that we can also work on creating new opportunities for students in the future.”
The spokesperson said, “Staff are able to pursue degrees and advance certificates in a variety of disciplines, including education, business, project management and cyber security. With the variety of options available, staff are able to take advantage of programmes that suit their professional growth and personal interests.
