Footballers in both the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with the Dandy Town Hornets, St. George’s Colts, and Robin Hood all earning wins.

Premier Division

Dandy Town Hornets 3 – Somerset Trojans 1

The Dandy Town Hornets came from a goal down to defeat the Somerset Trojans 3 – 1 at the BAA field.

After a scoreless first half, the Somerset Trojans went ahead in the 48th minute when Haile Eve scored, but Daniel Cook equalized for the Dandy Town Hornets in the 80th minute. Ereico Outerbridge gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in stoppage time, and then Cecoy Robinson added another with time added on to make it 3 – 1.

St. George’s Colts 3 – Young Men Social Club 1

At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts came from behind to defeat Young Men Social Club 3 – 1.

David Jones Jr. gave Young Men Social Club the lead in the 20th minute, only to have Kashe Hall equalize for the St. George’s Colts one minute later. The two teams went to the break with the score deadlocked at 1 – 1.

The St. George’s Colts went in front in the 55th minute when Manoj Paynter scored, and then in the 59th minute, Paul Simons scored to make it 3 – 1 to the home team as they moved up to fifth place in the standings.

First Division

Robin Hood 4 – St. David’s 2

At the BAA field, Robin Hood moved into second place in the standings following their 4 – 2 win over St. David’s.

Keishen Bean scored in the 7th and 29th minutes to give St. David’s a 2 – 0 lead, but Robin Hood – who was playing with ten men after Ricardo Brangman was sent off in the 14th minute – pulled a goal back in the 37th minute when Zias Smith scored.

Clay Darrell pulled Robin Hood level in the 56th minute. Darrell then gave Robin Hood the lead in the 67th minute, and then Dwayne Brangman found the back of the net in the 79th minute to make it 4 – 2 to Robin Hood.
