Pedestrian Injured In Hit & Run Collision
A 30-year-old female was struck by a motorcar in Hamilton, the vehicle was “driven by an unidentified male who left the scene” and “officers later located the vehicle, abandoned, along Angle Street,” the police have confirmed.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, police and EMTs attended a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a motorcar, at the junction of Reid and Parliament Streets in the City of Hamilton.
“On arrival, it was ascertained that a 30-year-old female was struck by a motorcar while crossing the roadway. The vehicle was driven by an unidentified male who left the scene.
“Officers later located the vehicle, abandoned, along Angle Street, Pembroke. The victim was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where she was attended to for injuries which were not considered serious.
“She has since been discharged.
