Beauty And The Beasts Win Local Time-Trial
A star-studded local cycling team captured the open category title in the KPMG Bermuda Junior Cycling Team Time-Trial yesterday [March 17].
Caitlin Conyers and Conor White, two of island’s most decorated cyclists, joined Darren Glasford and Matt Boys in Beauty and The Beasts, with the foursome posting a time of 20min 31sec.
Fabian Schonenberg, Jackson Langley, Corey Brunton and Alan Mooney, of Gnosis/VT, came second in 22:57, and Rhys Pearce, Andrew Charlesworth, Sam Bullen and Kian Wookey, of BRCC Team 2, finished third in 23:21.
The top junior men’s team were Keon Stevens, Dylan Eiselt, Andrew Thomas and Zach Moniz, of DKDZ, in 24:55. They finished fifth overall.
Meanwhile, the top junior women’s team were Skye Ferguson, Kelise Wade and Corina Bortoli, of Bermuda Junior Cycling Ladies, who came thirteenth overall in 29:30.
Sanchez Smith, Jens Drea, Makeo Butterfield and Jasper Lau, of Team Slipstream, were the fastest youth team in 26:10. They placed ninth overall.
