Nancy Anne Miller Has Five Poems Published

The Galway Review has published five poems by Bermudian poet Nancy Anne Miller.

The Irish city’s leading literary magazine provides a platform for writers to showcase their work and engage with readers.

Ms Miller told Bernews: “The poems are part of a collection I am working on titled Missing Hurricanes.

“The title poem references a nostalgia for the event of a hurricane because while the visceral memory of one holds the rightful feelings of terror, caution, and fright, it also holds the great pleasure one takes in the physical sounds, sights, and sensations a hurricane causes.

“The poems in The Galway Review are ocean driven, influenced by my visual arts background, and explore language as much as the subject matter.

“I am always amazed at how much Bermuda resides in my subconscious, how easily it is for me to draw on it for subject matter, and how it continues to provide a way for me to explore and to strengthen my craft as a Bermudian poet.”
