Rick Wright’s Greenville Win In Open Cup
Bermudian Rick Wright won his second successive game since taking charge of Greenville Triumph after they beat South Carolina United 1-0 away in the US Open Cup first round yesterday [March 20].
Wright won his first match recently when Greenville defeated Spokane Velocity 3-1 at home in the USL League One.
Wright succeeded former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder John Harkes as head coach after serving as assistant coach since 2019.
A former Saltus Grammar School student, Wright made appearances for the Bermuda and United States national teams.
Greenville’s next league match is at home to Forward Madison on Saturday [March 23].
