iEPC Partners With Masterworks On Project
Engineering company iEPC Limited will donate their time in a partnership with the Masterworks Foundation to assist in the renovation of the former Parks Department Headquarters that will become Bermuda’s first Art & Design Centre.
A spokesperson said, “In February the Minister of Public Works, Lt. Col. the Hon. David Burch OBE [Mil] ED, JP, MP joined Masterworks Executive Director Risa Hunter to announce a collaboration between the Government of Bermuda and Masterworks to revitalise the Grade 3 listed building which had been closed since 2018. The initiative will see the building become a second location for Masterworks in the form of its new art and design centre and will serve to preserve Bermuda’s cultural legacy and foster art and culture.
“iEPC is carrying out the work at no cost to Masterworks and has to date conducted a comprehensive visual inspection of the former Parks Department HQ, assessed both exterior and interior structures, utilised expertise to identify key areas of concern, ensuring a thorough evaluation of the building condition and produced a detailed report outlining findings and offering valuable insight to inform the architects’ design decisions and layout planning.”
Masterworks Executive Director, Risa Hunter said: “We are delighted to be working with Ricardo Graham-Ward and his team at iEPC for the transformational project ahead of us: to rehabilitate an historic icon in Botanical Gardens and develop it into Bermuda’s first Art & Design Centre.
