Video: BOA Announce Bermuda’s Olympic Team
[Updated] The Bermuda Olympic Association [BOA] is holding a press conference this afternoon [July 8] to formally announce the team for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. We will have additional coverage later on and in the meantime the live video is below.
Update 2.12pm: The Olympic team was officially announced, with eight athletes set to represent Bermuda in the Olympics; Jah-Nhai Perinchief, Adriana Penruddocke, Tyler Smith, Dame Flora Duffy, Erica Hawley, Emma Harvey, Jack Harvey and Dara Alizadeh. The Paralympics, which actually has a separate governing body, take place after the Olympics, and Bermuda will also have two athletes in that, with Jessica Lewis and Yushae DeSilva-Andrade set to represent the island, so between the Olympics and Paralympics, Bermuda is fielding a 10 strong team, a very impressive accomplishment for small island.
