Salvation Army Community Outreach On Sunday

July 30, 2024 | 0 Comments

The Salvation Army will host another Community Outreach event at this Sunday, August 4th.

A spokesperson said, “While the holidays typically are a wonderful time with friends and family, for some, it may be a tragic reminder of lost loved ones. Following the warm reception received in mid-July at The Salvation Army North Street Citadel’s Community Prayer Vigil, we are returning to encourage the neighbourhood with another Community Outreach event this Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 6:00 PM. The location is once again at the corner of Roberts Avenue and Friswell’s Hill [just down from the Salvation Army Regional Office and next to the Seventh Day Adventist church]

“Families in the neighborhood are still hurting, and healing will take time. May our presence continue to show the neighbourhood that we care and are here to support them through this journey with “Heart to God and Hand to Man”, which is the Salvation Army’s commitment to serve suffering humanity in Bermuda and around the world.

“We are once again extending this invitation to the community. Please join us in showing more love to our neighbours. New! For this event, we’re inviting anyone who attends to join our impromptu mass choir so that our voices can ring throughout the neighbourhood with familiar songs, accompanied by the North Street Citadel Band. As aways, we will be available to converse and pray with residents in the neighborhood.

“Let’s join together in the open-air, as a community of believers to pray and share the love of Jesus with those who are struggling at this time. We look forward to seeing you there.”
