Two Vehicle Collision In Devonshire

A  collision involving a police motorcycle and car occurred in Devonshire this morning [July 7], with the policeman sustaining minor injuries.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:30 AM on Sunday, 7 July 2024, there was a report of a two vehicle collision on Middle Road, Devonshire near the junction with Kilderry Estate, involving a police motorcycle and a private motor car.

“Information reported suggest that a police motorcycle was travelling in the east bound lane, clearing the road for a pedal cycle race when a car exiting Kilderry Estate attempted to make a right turn onto Middle Road, resulting in a collision.

“The female driver of the car was not reported to be injured. However, the policeman sustained minor injuries.

“Traffic diversions are in place at Hermitage Road and Store Hill Road whilst traffic accident investigators process the scene.
