Sienna Mosquera Finishes 2nd In Canada
Bermudian junior golfer Sienna Mosquera produced a superb display to finish second at the recent NB3 Canadian Junior Championship at the Kanawaki Golf Club in Kahnawake, Quebec.
Mosquera carded a 76 and a 77 in her two rounds and is now an alternate for the Notah Begay II Junior National Championship in Coushatta, Louisiana, in November.
The 18-year-old also competed in the recent New York Junior PGA Championship at Pelham Bay Golf Course, shooting 74 and 79, capturing the most birdies [5] in her field for the opening round.
She will now turn her attention to the Caribbean Junior Amateur Championship, representing Team Bermuda alongside Arman Newton at Caymanas Golf Course, St Catherine, Jamaica.
A former Saltus Grammar School student, Mosquera finished her final year of high school at the Mike Bender Golf Academy in Florida, and will now take a gap year to train at the Academy full-time.
