Kamau Leverock Says Goodbye To Beloved Bat
Bermudian cricketer Kamau Leverock has bid farewell to his beloved bat in a social media post.
Leverock has opted to retire the bat he used to score 153 runs in Somerset’s recent victory over St George’s in Cup Match at Somerset Cricket Club – his highest score in the annual classic – and the 103 he scored for Bermuda in the ICC T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in February 2023.
The all-rounder, who announced his retirement from international cricket in March, posted a photograph of his bat on social media, captioned: “You created some history tho[ugh] old girl.
“My baby broke again yesterday. It’s time to lay her to rest.”
