Antonio Pierce’s Raiders Defeat Browns
Antonio Pierce’s Las Vegas Raiders claimed a 20-16 win at home to the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League [NFL] yesterday [September 29].
Pierce’s whose team are 2-2 this season, said he was thrilled with how his players bounced back from their disappointing 36-22 defeat to the Carolina Panthers last weekend.
“Last week was disappointing,” Pierce told the Las Vegas Sun. “If there’s one thing we can do, we can control our effort, our energy, our passion and love for the game which I always speak about.
“That didn’t show up last week and that’s on me, but this week they took the bull by the horns.”
Pierce, the son of Bermudian Cleo Burrows, was appointed as head coach of the Raiders in January.
The Raiders are away to the Denver Broncos on Sunday [October 6].
