Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc. and Noire Youth Theatre Company are inviting students to “engage in a creative road to success event called Blueprint” on Saturday [Sept 7] at the Willowbank Resort in Somerset from 8.30-3.30pm.

A spokesperson said, “On Saturday, Sept. 7th at the Willowbank Resort in Somerset, from 8:30-3:30 p.m., Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc. and Noire Youth Theatre Company, invite primary seven and eight, middle school M1- M3 students, and those entering CedarBridge Academy and the Berkeley Institute for the first time to engage in a creative road to success event called ‘Blueprint.’ The objective is for students to create their personalized roadmap to a successful 2024 school year. This event is free. Lunch will be provided.

“Well-known educator on staff at Francis Patton Primary, parent, and member of the BUT Executive Angelika Marshall will host “Blueprint.” As one of our facilitators, she believes that setting realistic goals, developing an action plan, and creating ways to track, measure, and celebrate student achievement on this road to success with accountability partners is tantamount to favourable outcomes for every participant.

“A highlight of the event will be performances by Fire Wayne who has won the hearts of youth across the island and who has been honoured by the Ministry of Culture. His song ‘One Blood’ presented as animation, promotes that love is the answer and can be viewed on the internet. Other successful artists who will facilitate workshop sessions are professional vocalist and musician Shardae Lee, past president of Noire Youth Theatre Company, Director of Staff Development and Instruction, comedienne Gina Davis, and Patricia O’Connor, retired para-educator and nursery schoolteacher, choir director, and worship leader.

“Student success stories will be published once a month as “Blueprint News” in artistic ways to keep the interest of the public and will be determined by the participants.

“We would like to thank our sponsors, Willowbank Resort, Polaris Ltd., Bermuda Public Services, and the Bermuda Industrial Union. Call Patricia Nesbitt at 703-6248 to sign up. Email noiretheatrecompany@gmail.com for an application.”
