Department To Host Mental Health Discussion
The Department of Health is hosting another panel discussion titled ‘Let’s Talk Mental Health – Part 2’, on Monday, October 7th, at the Trudeau Ballroom, Hamilton Princess & Beach Club from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
“Building on the incredible success of our first Mental Health panel discussion, which exceeded expectations and left attendees energized, inspired, and eager for more, we invite you to join us for another compelling event,” said Minister of Health Kim Wilson.
The Government spokesperson said, “This time, our panel of mental health professionals will dive into the critical topic of mental health across different stages of life. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an engaging and insightful conversation that promises to be just as impactful as the last!
“The Bermuda Government is committed to programmes to address mental health issues with compassion instead of stigma, and the supplementary estimates announced by the Premier included a $2.29 million for the ministry’s mental health support.
“The moderator is Ms. Janice George RN, Founder Reset to Reboot, and Cofounder My Bermuda Reset. The panel of experts are Dr. Judith Bruce-Golding, PGCE, MSC, SENCo, Dr. Adriene Berkeley, Chartered Psychologist & Neuroscientist, Psyneu, Dr. Alison Daniels, Programme Manager, Childcare Regulations Programme, DOH, and Dr. Ernest Peets Jr., Founder MASC Ltd.

MENTAL HEALTH. .THE NUMBERS GAME
” To be human is to be human”.
In a resent posting on Bernews , I read that a department of health representative had determined that one in four persons in Bermuda suffers from some form of mental health issues or could it be personality disorders.
We are all, some how, different as the human brain is fantastic piece of engineering , got the heart and lungs beat by a mile.
Many say ………. Not me ,him !
The challenges of Mondays is worse than that of Tuesdays .
If I do the numbers, am I to assume that ever 4th person on 4th row on the public bus has a problem .
Do the leaders across to pond have mental issues , the voter don’t think so, did i just strike a nerve?
Is a quarter of the public in dire need of treatment.
Would a tube of Smarties save the day ?
A family of four. Could it be that one is mentally challenged ,does age come in to it ? May be some times.
Can a car or bike accident change the numbers.
Every person has their some time or other have tempory moments as frustration and anger change relationship with others when some frustrated people reach their limits from a perceived normal.
A green bottle or Johnny Walker will change a persons point of view.
A perfect person in every way is impossible to live with.
May I ask does ever fouth pilot of a commercial jet, don’t know which side is up?
At work they pay you to be miserable!
If you are looking for eternal happiness I would not blame you one bit !
Unfortunately as people get older and the bones get tired many will suffer from memory loss which may take a person to a premature “end of days”.
” Bring on the clowns” !
