The Ministry of Public Works is advising that due to the Remembrance Day holiday on Monday, November 11, garbage will not be collected on that day.

A Government spokesperson said, “On the week of November 11th, household waste will follow a roll-over schedule where Monday’s waste is collected on Tuesday, Tuesday’s waste is collected on Wednesday, etc., concluding with Friday’s waste being collected on Saturday, November 16th.

“This is a recycling collection week, and the recycling collection days will remain unchanged with west-end collection on Thursday November 14th and east-end collection on Friday November 15th.

“Household waste and recycling may also be delivered to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off, which will be open on Monday, 11 November, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
