Field Hockey: Budgies Defeat Griffins

The Budgies secured a decisive 5-1 win over the Griffins in a Bermuda field hockey match held at the National Sports Center.

Renee Gray opened the scoring for the Budgies in the 27th minute, converting a penalty corner. Lakae Tavares extended the lead to 2-0 in the 32nd minute with a field goal. Jasalle Davis added a third goal for the Budgies just ten minutes later.

The Griffins managed to pull a goal back in the 52nd minute through Isaac Davis, but the Budgies responded quickly. Davis scored her second goal of the match to restore the Budgies’ three-goal advantage, and Meagan Troake sealed the victory with a penalty corner conversion in the 58th minute.
