MarketPlace Parade & Fireworks Details
The MarketPlace’s Christmas Parade and Fireworks on December 1st will feature festive floats, Gombey dancers, and a fireworks display, and the organization has provided details in advance of the event.
A spokesperson said, “The MarketPlace’s highly anticipated Christmas Parade and Fireworks is set to transform Hamilton into a festive wonderland this Sunday, December 1, 2024. As final preparations are underway, The MarketPlace is releasing important information to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.”
“We’re counting down the hours to this magical evening that brings our community together,” says Seth Stutzman, President of The MarketPlace group of companies. “Our team has been working diligently with the City of Hamilton and the Bermuda Police Service to ensure this celebration is spectacular for everyone attending.”
Event Schedule
- Parade Start: 5:00 PM
- Fireworks Display: At Approximately 7:10 PM
- Event Conclusion 7:30 PM

Important Road Closure Information
The spokesperson said, “To ensure public safety, the following notices and closures will be in effect:
“All Parked Vehicles Must Be Removed from the parade route by 2:00 PM on 1 December:
- No parking will be permitted on parade route streets from 2:00 PM onwards
- Any vehicles remaining on the parade route after 2:00 PM will be towed and relocated to a street outside the parade route. Owners can call the CoH on 531-5254 to find the location of their car
- Please note: This restriction is essential for parade preparation and public safety
Road Closures from at 3:00 PM:
- Par-La-Ville Road [from Church Street to the Royal Gazette]
- Church Street [from Par-La-Ville Rd to Court St]
- Court Street [from Victoria St to Front St]
- Front Street will be closed from Par-La-Ville Rd to Spurling Hill [Spurling Hill will remain open with access to King Street in both directions]
- The roads will reopen at 8:00PM
Traffic Modifications:
- From 3:00 PM: King Street will operate as a two-way street to maintain access from the east side of the city
- Bermudian Road will remain open to the west of the city
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout all closure periods

- Bull’s Head Car Park
- Cavendish Car Park
“The MarketPlace encourages all attendees to arrive early, plan their parking strategy, and prepare for an evening of holiday magic in Hamilton.

- For optimal fireworks viewing, spectators are encouraged to gather at:
- Albouy’s Point
- Front Street
“A ten-minute interval between the parade’s conclusion at the Birdcage and the fireworks display will allow spectators to find ideal viewing positions.
Marine Traffic Advisory
“All marine vessels must maintain a minimum 800-foot safety radius away from the fireworks barge located near White’s Island before and during the fireworks display.”
Fireworks & Pet Safety Advisory
“We want everyone to enjoy this festive celebration, including our furry family members,” notes Stutzman. “Taking these simple precautions will help ensure that both pets and their owners have a stress-free evening.”
During the fireworks display we encourage pet owners to:
- Keep pets indoors during the festivities to ensure their safety and comfort
- Walk your dogs earlier in the day before the parade and fireworks begin
- Make them feel safe with a quiet, secure indoor location
- Switch on the TV or play music to help mask the noise of fireworks
