Ride.bm said they are offering an “easy-to-access app that provides Bermudians and visitors alike with seamless, on-demand transportation.”

A spokesperson said, “For decades, the number 295-4141 has been synonymous with safe and reliable transportation in Bermuda. Today, Ride.bm, powered by Central Dispatch, builds on that legacy, transforming a household number into a modern, easy-to-access app that provides Bermudians and visitors alike with seamless, on-demand transportation.

“Born from the union of two trusted dispatch companies, Bermuda Island Taxi and PremierCoop, the team behind Central Dispatch developed Ride.bm out of a commitment to uphold the dependable service that Bermuda has relied on for years, while embracing the benefits of the digital age.

“What began with pen, paper, and a two-way radio has evolved into an app that brings transportation to the fingertips of the community—available anytime, anywhere, and as reliable as ever.”

It’s basically the end of 2024 and bermuda has gotten it’s first ride share company smfh. Why are we so far behind on the most basic things? How many grocery stores have self checkout? When has the government website ever worked? What entertainment does the country offer? Arcades, Vr bars, go carts, a real waterpark. Nope we have nothing but we want tourist to visit. Why should they?

Please take the time to actually read the article and understand it before making sensational statements. THIS IS NOT RIDE SHARE!!! This is simply a taxi dispatch app.

    • A Towzer says:

Big stores in the US are getting rid of self-checkout because too many people were stealing.

We’re not as bad as you think. Other islands don’t have great transportation either. Arcades don’t last here, etc. If you don’t like our island, you aren’t on lockdown. The door swings both ways.

      • Dejavu says:

Left years ago and so did 90% of my family. People steal in America because the law allows up to $1k to be stolen and it’s a misdemeanor. The other islands are no where near as wealthy as bermuda so that made zero sense. We should be leading by example. New York is an island England is an island lol I guess they to are just getting taxi apps. Arcades don’t last because the owners are to greedy and want to billionaires in one year of business. Every arcade we’ve had was always packed in the beginning but the cost doesn’t justify the product. The world is moving fast and we’re being left behind. I encourage all bermudians to leave before you can’t. Which will happen very soon due to the dwindling population. I believe it’s less than 55k thousand now

  2. A Towzer says:

Wait, the taxi company is involved in this? Well, that app will be useless too, for locals and anyone darker than a paper bag.

  3. You still need taxi driver’s to have the app, for it to work

  4. Hey says:

I’d vote for the crownies in oba before I use this app.
