Somersfield Wins Middle School Netball
The Somersfield Academy triumphed in the BSSF Middle School Netball Tournament.
A spokesperson said, “Somersfield Academy won the BSSF middle school netball tournament after edging past BHS 6-5 in an exciting final. Both teams exchanged goals but BHS ran out of time before they could level the score. Somersfield got three goals apiece from Milena Millett and Freida Valli in the final. Samantha Morgan scored three for BHS while Hailey Oduori added two. Both finalists overcame pool stage groups winners to advance to the final.
“Somersfield defeated pool A winners 7-4 in their semi final. Millet led the scoring with four goals with Valli adding three. Zara Bule scored three for Saltus and Titiana Green scored one. Morgan scored two overtime goals to steer BHS 7-6 over Dellwood Middle School in the other semi final. Morgan finished the game with four goals while Oduori scored 3. Sa-Qurity Warner scored five goals for Dellwood with Dani Brown added one.”
