Traffic Advisory For Pitts Bay Road Closure
The Ministry of Public Works advised the “public and all relevant stakeholders of amendments to the previously issued Road Traffic Notice regarding work on Pitts Bay Road.”
A Government spokesperson said, “These amendments are necessary due to recent weather conditions affecting the scheduled operations.
“To facilitate a safe crane lift operation, Pitts Bay Road in the City of Hamilton will now be closed from 5:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, 28 November 2024. The affected section extends from Waterloo Lane to Woodbourne Avenue.
“Traffic control measures will be in place under the direction of D&J Construction Company representatives, utilising barricades, signs, and cones to ensure public safety. Motorists are advised to use detour routes via Rosemont Avenue or Woodbourne Avenue during this time.
“The Ministry apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding as it undertakes these necessary works. Adjustments to the schedule are essential to ensure safety and efficiency in light of the weather conditions.
