Weekend Netball U/11 And U/14 Match Results
Despite less than ideal weather conditions which resulted in the cancellation of several matches, the Bermuda Netball Association [BNA] hosted a series of exciting matches featuring the 11 & Under and 14 & Under divisions.
11 & under Division
Phoenix Sparks: A’Mariss Dyer was recognized as the best attacker, Quin Burgess was the best defender, and K’ah Seymour was the team’s MVP.
Storm Lightning: Tess Martin secured the best attacker accolade, with Honor White was the best defender, and Asia Burt was named the team’s MVP.
North Village Lady Rams: Sanaa Hodsoll earned recognition as the best attacker, while Violet Leverock was named best defender, and Davi Wade was the MVP.
Storm Thunder: Kimora Davy received the best attacker award, Shavion Channer was named best defender, and Sophia Oduri earned the MVP accolade.
14 & under Division
In the opening 14 & under clash, the Phoenix Embers defeated North Village Lady Rams by a score of 20-6.
Shiloh Simmons, named best attacker, led the Embers’ charge with an impressive 10 goals, while Zyari Lawrence added four goals to the tally. Azariah Scott and Jaylen Lewis contributed three goals each.
Kim-Mora Mallory stood tall as the Embers’ best defender, while Kenzie McCreary earned MVP honors for her all-around excellence.
The North Village Lady Rams, despite the loss, showed glimpses of brilliance. S’Mai Tyrrell led their scoring efforts with 4 goals, while Olivia Dale and Dani Brown each contributed a goal.
Xen Bourne was recognized as the team’s best attacker, Riley Jones earned best defender accolades, and Dylan Outerbridge was named MVP for her resilience and determination.
In the other 14 & under match, the Storm unleashed a torrent of goals, overwhelming the Dandy Stars 35-1. Sah-Quirity Warner and Eliana Trott spearheaded the Storm’s attack, each netting an impressive 9 goals.
Journee Belboda and Hailey Oduori added 5 goals apiece, while Vongai Benza contributed 4 goals. Nala Richardson chipped in with 3 goals, and SaVana Hayward rounded off the scoring with a single goal.
