GSP: 2024 Christmas Gift Of Giving Campaign
The Gina Spence Program [GSP] announced the return of its Annual Christmas Gift of Giving Campaign, and said they are “calling on every household in Bermuda to join us in uplifting children, families, and seniors during the holiday season.”
A spokesperson said, “The campaign will culminate in a community distribution event on December 14th, 2024, at T N Tatem School between 3pm-4pm, where the generosity of our donors will come to life.
“This year, we are asking each household to contribute $25.00. With this small gift, we can brighten a child’s Christmas by providing toys that spark joy and create cherished memories. We can also provide healthy food hampers to families, easing the financial strain of the holidays and ensuring they have meals to enjoy together. Finally, we aim to help seniors by offering pharmaceutical gift cards addressing their critical healthcare needs.”
Gina Spence said, “Christmas is a season of giving, but more importantly, it’s a season of hope. Through the Gift of Giving Campaign, we have the power to transform lives. Imagine the smile on a child’s face when they open their first gift, the relief of a parent who can provide food for their family, and the peace of mind for a senior who can finally afford their medication. These moments of joy are only possible because of you—our community.”
The spokesperson said, “The donation deadline is December 14th, ensuring that every contribution makes an impact in time for Christmas.
A BGA spokesperson said, “BGA is proud to support this initiative. As a Bermudian company with over 155 staff, we are deeply committed to representing and uplifting our community. Partnering with the Gina Spence Program’s Christmas Gift of Giving is a meaningful way for us to give back and make a difference during the holiday season.
A Terceira’s spokesperson said, “We at Terceira’s Family of Service Stations are proud to support the Gina Spence Program and the incredible work they do year-round, including the Christmas Gift of Giving. It’s no small feat—their dedication to lifting up our community is truly inspiring. As a proud Bermudian business, we’re using Terceira’s as a platform to give back to the community that has given us so much over the years. We invite you to join us in supporting this meaningful cause. Whether through donations or other forms of support, every contribution makes a difference.
A BPO spokesperson said, “Once again, the Bermuda Post Office welcomes its partnership and the work done by Gina Spence Program throughout the year and during its annual Christmas appeal. Not only does our support come in the form of delivering flyers, gift cards, care packages and toys each year, but our staff will be donating to this worthy cause. A cause that benefits our customers, their children and families in need. As a provider as well, with a universal obligation for service, we believe that the less fortunate and the community as a whole, will be strengthened through the gift of giving.
Restoration Ministries said they are “once again happy to support The Gina Spence Program [GSP] community outreach initiative the Gift of Giving Campaign. We believe in the power of compassion and collective action. GSP’s mission aligns with our core values of helping individuals and strengthening the community. The Gift of Giving Campaign allows Restoration to be a part of a program where lives are being transformed by providing tangible support to families in need, bringing hope to those in despair, and nurturing a spirit of generosity amongst our own community. By partnering with GSP, Restoration gets another opportunity to give back to the larger community and be a part of building a foundation of care and unity that benefits everyone. This partnership represents our commitment to creating lasting, positive change in the lives of those we serve, year after year.”
A spokesperson added, “The Gina Spence Program extends heartfelt gratitude to the following sponsors and partners, whose support makes the Gift of Giving Campaign possible: The Phoenix Pharmacy, Mediaville, Terceira’s Family of Service Stations, Bermuda Post Office, BGA, Bermuda Pest Control, One, and Restoration Ministries. Their contributions help ensure that Bermuda’s children, families, and seniors receive the support they need this holiday season.
“The Gina Spence Program invites everyone to join the campaign by making a $25.00 contribution, which can change a life this holiday season. Contributions must be made by December 14th, 2024, and can be submitted through www.gspcharity.com. Additionally, volunteers are welcome to assist in collecting, organizing, and distributing donations. By spreading the word to friends, family, and colleagues, the reach of the campaign can extend even further, ensuring that no child, family, or senior is left behind.”
