Johnson Takes Lead In APGA Championship
The first round of the Butterfield Bermuda APGA Championship teed off at the Port Royal Golf Course, with Chase Johnson from West Palm Beach, Florida, setting the pace with an even-par 71.
A trio of players – Blaze Akana, Ryan Ellerbrock, and Manav Shah – are tied for third place at 2-over par, setting the stage for a tight battle for the championship in the final round.
Quinton Sherlock Jr. leads the Bermudian contingent, finishing the first round in 17th place with an 11-over par 82. Adam Perry sits in 18th place after a 12-over par 83, while Scott Roy is in 19th place with a 13-over par 84.
