Warwick Academy Win Six A Side Football

Warwick Academy won the Bermuda School Sports Federation Over 13 six a side tournament after securing a 2-0 win over Somersfield in the final.

A spokesperson said, “De’Ari Trott gave Warwick the lead early in the second half when he drove home a fierce shot following a cleared corner. Gillian McGlynn secured victory when he doubled the lead in the final minute of the match.

“Warwick got to the final with a 2-0 win over the Whitney Institute Middle School. Trott was again on target along with Jahzari Ingham.

“Somersfield advanced to the final after overcoming Saltus Grammar School 5-3 on penalties after the match ended 1-1. Cairo Burgess put Somersfield ahead with a well taken headed goal off of a corner. Chaz Edmead scored a few minutes later after A defense splitting pass found him with only the goalkeeper to beat.

“Saltus won the third place match over Whitney 2-0 with goals from Edmead and David Augustus.”
