Warwick Swimmers Make A Splash At Invite
The Warwick Academy High Performance Swim team is making waves at the 2024 NC QCD Holiday Invite, hosted by the Queen City Dolphins in North Carolina.
The first session saw a flurry of personal best times, with several swimmers punching their tickets to the finals. As the sun sets on day one, the Warwick Academy squad is primed for an exciting night of competition. Here’s a look at their finals lineup:
500 Freestyle:
- 13-14 Girls – B Final: Sofia Leclerc will look to build on her strong prelims swim as she enters the B final ranked fifth.
- Senior Girls – A Final: Jorgia White is a force to be reckoned with in the senior girls’ category, securing a spot in the A final with a fourth-place ranking.
- Senior Boys – B Final: A trio of Warwick Academy swimmers will battle it out in the B final: Jamie MacFarlane [4th], Jackson Langley [6th], and Gianluca Bortoli [7th].
- Senior Boys – A Final: Logan Jones will be chasing a podium finish in the A final, entering the race ranked fourth.
100 Butterfly:
- 13-14 Boys – B Final: Noah Fulton will be aiming for a top-three finish in the 100 fly B final.
50 Freestyle:
- Senior Girls – B Final: Gabby Esposito will be sprinting for a medal in the senior girls’ B final.
- 13-14 Boys – B Final: Noah Fulton is back in action, this time in the 50 free B final, where he’s seeded second.
- Senior Boys – B Final: Logan Jones is the top seed heading into the senior boys’ B final.
200 Backstroke:
- Senior Girls – B Final: Elanna Fulton will be looking to climb the rankings in the senior girls’ B final.
- 13-14 Boys – A Final: Noah Fulton continues his busy schedule with an appearance in the 13-14 boys’ A final.
200 Medley Relay:
- Senior Girls – A Final: The team of Jorgia White, Elanna Fulton, Gabby Esposito, and Sofia Leclerc will be aiming for a strong finish in the A final.
- Senior Boys – A Final: Warwick Academy will have two teams competing in the senior boys’ A final. The “A” team consists of Logan Jones, Zachary
- Johnson, Axel Wernbo, and Noah Fulton, while the “B” team features Jackson Langley, Jamie MacFarlane, Gianluca Bortoli, and Cameron Duda.
