Equestrian: RES Series Gets Underway

The Bermuda Equestrian Federation’s RES Series got underway at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street, with riders showcasing their skills across various disciplines.

In the Low Equitation 2 feet 3 inches Over Fences Junior Class, Lila Readdy riding Lady Bug emerged victorious. Bella Rodrigues and Puff The Magic Dragon secured second place, while Victoria Smatt and Paddington Bear finished third.

The Modified Equitation 2 feet 6 inches Over Fences Adult Class saw Nathalie Rushe claim the win aboard Lollipop. Ava Frias riding Let’s Play took second place, and Tonae Tavares finished third with Kool Blu.

In the show jumping arena, Phillip Correia and Poker Face demonstrated their prowess to win the .95m Horse Jumping Class. Georgia Harris and Casichacco finished as runners-up, with Kamali Tucker and Tugano Van Klapscheut taking third place.

The 1.30m Horse Jumping Class saw Abby Bardgett and Causing Chaos deliver a winning performance. Jaylynn Hines and Toto D’Ysenbeeck Z finished in second place.

The opening event of the RES Series provided an exciting showcase of equestrian talent in Bermuda. With riders competing across various age groups and disciplines, the competition was fierce and entertaining. As the series progresses, riders will be aiming to build on their early successes and challenge for top honours.
