Annual Sea Sunday Service Held
The annual Sea Sunday Service was held recently, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the Lost at Sea Memorial.
A spokesperson said, “Friends and family turned out on January 12th to the annual Sea Sunday Service at St. Luke and the Chapel of Ease on January 26th.
“The service at St. Luke was dedicated to the late Revd. Dr. Erskin, who organized the first Sea Sunday Service at St. Luke some 42 years ago.
“During the service at the chapel, special mention was made to the young mariners who are working at sea and attending the higher learning programs overseas.
“Following the service there was a wreath laying ceremony at the Great Head Battery at the Lost at Sea Memorial.”
