BOA Names Athlete Commission Leaders
The Bermuda Olympic Association’s Athlete Commission [BOA AC] has proudly announced its newly elected leadership team for the next Olympic cycle.
The BOA AC consists of athletes who have represented Bermuda during the last two Olympic cycles in any of the four major festivals that fall under the BOA umbrella [CAC, Commonwealth, Pan Am, and Olympics].
Following a thorough election process, the BOA AC will be chaired by Dage Minors [athletics], with Olympian Tyler Smith [triathlon] serving as vice chair.
Joining them on the Commission are accomplished athletes representing a diverse range of sports: Paris 2024 Olympians Adrianna Penruddocke [sailing] and Emma Harvey [Swimming], along with national field hockey team player Alyssa De Silva.
Minors said: “I am excited to continue with the Commission and be the chair for this new Olympic cycle.
“I have a lot of confidence in the Commission and that we will continue to vouch for and represent our fellow athletes”.
The BOA AC is committed to fostering a strong athlete-centered culture, providing resources, promoting opportunities for Bermuda’s athletes.
The AC will continue to be the voice of the athletes at the BOA executive board level, promoting the values of Olympism.
Tyler Smith, the vice chair, said: “We are looking forward to representing the athletes’ voice to the BOA and delivering programmes both on island and abroad that can benefit former and future athletes”.
