Simmons & Lambe Maintain Unbeaten Records
Dockyard’s The Shed played host to a thrilling night of fights, featuring seven bouts, including five kickboxing matches and two highly anticipated professional boxing clashes.
The kickboxing action kicked off with Ashley Williams [Kaniwa Dojo, Amarillo, Texas] defeating Varshini Srinivasan [Bermuda Sanshou Association [BSA]]. BSA’s Geraldine Sidders then evened the score, defeating Keira Woolley [Kaniwa Dojo].
In the junior Sanda Kickboxing matches, Tristan Robinson [BSA] defeated Jace Gaddy [Kaniwa Dojo], and Michael Tristan Burgess [BSA] overcame Derek Wheeler [Kaniwa Dojo]. Muryah Swan [BSA] completed the Sanda Kickboxing contests with a victory over Sarah Peterson [Kaniwa Dojo].
The focus then turned to Professional Boxing, with Dash Simmons putting his unbeaten record on the line against American Patrick Pierre [New Orleans] in a Light Heavyweight bout. Simmons maintained his perfect record [6-0] with a dominant performance, overpowering Pierre with heavy shots to both the body and head, ultimately securing a knockout victory.
The headline fight saw Andre Lambe defend his undefeated Welterweight status against Jimmy Williams from New Haven, Connecticut. Lambe extended his record to 11-0 with a third-round knockout. A barrage of uppercuts and powerful left hooks sent Williams to one knee, where he was counted out.
