Rick Wright’s Greenville Draw Opening Game
Rick Wright’s Greenville Triumph SC earned a 1-1 draw at home to Westchester SC in their season opener in the United Soccer League [USL] League One yesterday [March 8].
The visiting side, playing their first USL League One match, took the lead in the twelfth minute through a penalty by Juan Carlos Obregón Jr.
Greenville responded, winning a penalty of their own in the 29th minute, which Sebastian Velasquez converted.
Head coach Wright led Greenville to the semi-final plays-offs in his first season in charge last term.
A former Saltus Grammar School student, Wright made appearances for the Bermuda and United States national teams.
