Eco Lunch & Learn On Climate Change
Bermuda College and BEST will hold a free presentation by Dr. Sarah Smith on April 24 titled ‘Fisheries & Climate Change: Global Change, Local Consequences.’
The event poster says, “Join our free presentation, brought to you by Bermuda College and BEST: ‘Fisheries & Climate Change: Global Change, Local Consequences,’ presented by Dr. Sarah Smith, Fisheries Social Scientist and Marine Research Associate, on Thursday, April 25 from 1.00pm to 2.00pm.
“As climate change causes global ocean temperatures to increase and impacts marine ecosystems, fishery resources that people around the world rely on for food security, nutrition, and livelihoods are being impacted. Many fish stocks are on the move in response to changing water temperatures, while others are affected by ecosystem-level changes to the availability of prey or habitat.
“Fisheries management must be responsive to changing fish stocks as well as the changing environmental and economic conditions that impact fisheries. Dr. Smith will discuss research into some of these adaptations from fisheries around the world, including New England, the Pacific, and Madagascar.

Climate changes are variable changes in condirtion on earth controled by th sun.
As a matter of fact the sun controls every thing . So ! why does it not rotate?
Our 4 seasons are affectred by th e elipical orbit of planet Earth around the sun with some slight variations when it is cold it is not hot.
Car engines over heat we also do a lousy job f managing our energy.
Drive one car to work and drive diferent car home to save two trips .
Hey ! those tolerances are very crituical when compared to the vastness of the universe which i think is in the shape of a” doenut” not a pencil , cause every thing is round as the perfect circle that has no ends .
You can see the variation in the evening sky in outer space when planets silently crash into one another , makes a big mess. there is no bank
so what is the BIG BANH stuff all abut /
Our moon.
OH ! by the way the crust of the moon crust is 600 miles thick if that thing fell in you back yard you would soon know about it , that is if we can claim it to be our moon …… ALIENS ?
By now you would think they would give that celestial body Moon a name to diferenciate it from other moons .
We are now fares please .
Back to climate change as we are out manipulated by many varable ocean currents which in turn affect the degree of rise an fall of the tide , where our gulf stream goes past Miami then goes up to Scotland then goes cold and there you go. ” Global Cooling”. you can not have one with out the other
This is the stuff that keep me up at night wondering IF. !
