OUTBermuda Announces 2025 Pride Theme
OUTBermuda announced the theme for 2025 Bermuda Pride will be “Pride is Protest. Pride is Power. Pride is Us.”
A spokesperson said, “OUTBermuda has announced the official theme for Bermuda Pride 2025: “Pride is Protest. Pride is Power. Pride is Us.” Since its inception in 2019, Bermuda Pride has become an annual tradition—an opportunity for Bermudians to take to the streets in a powerful display of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
“Bermuda Pride 2025 will be a week of events taking place from June 29 to July 6 – with the parade on Saturday July 5. This year’s theme reinforces that Pride is more than a celebration; it is a movement rooted in activism, resilience, and collective action.”
Joshua Samuels, Executive Director of OUTBermuda, explains, “Pride is more than an annual event—it fuels our year-round work advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and providing critical support services. This theme reinforces that Pride is part of a larger movement for justice, safety, and equity in Bermuda.”
A spokesperson added, “Pride is Protest reminds us that the fight for LGBTQ+ rights is far from over. Around the world, hard-won freedoms are being challenged, and in Bermuda, the push for true equality continues. Pride is not just about a single day—it is about refusing to be erased, demanding change, and standing in defiance against discrimination.
“Pride is Power speaks to the strength of community. Showing up for Pride is more than an act of celebration—it is an act of solidarity. There is power in visibility, in standing together, and in amplifying our collective voice. Organizers emphasize that Pride serves as a reminder to LGBTQ+ Bermudians that they are not alone. Together, we are stronger.”
“Pride is Us is a call to action for every Bermudian to reflect on their role in creating a safer, more inclusive island for LGBTQ+ people. Every queer Bermudian, every ally, and every person who believes in equality has a place in this movement. “Our strength lies in our diversity, and together, we are shaping Bermuda’s future,” say the organizers.
A spokesperson added, “The theme was unveiled at a community gathering at Treehouse, where attendees expressed excitement about its bold focus on activism, visibility, and unity. Many resonated with its return to the roots of Pride as a protest, while others appreciated its emphasis on community strength.”
Pride Project Manager, Najib Chentouf, adds, “This theme is an invitation to take a stand, and show strength through community. Bring your energy and your people.
